Director, IT Infrastructure and Information Security

Job Summary: The successful candidates will provide vision and leadership for implementing and maintaining IT shared services that support the forward-moving technology initiatives and business strategies for our group of companies. He/she will direct the planning and implementation of enterprise core infrastructure IT systems and their security in support of business operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and reliability, including defining their respective support processes. Responsible for executing the strategy for PHL shared services functions.

He/she will lead the strategy development and day to day management of the information security programs and efforts, as well as oversee the information security requirements for all new IT projects and new and existing system implementations.  The incumbent will be responsible to ensure that ongoing security policies and compliance requirements are developed and met, execution on risk assessments and vulnerability management programs are conducted as required, and an effective breach emergency response plan is in place.

The successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate and coordinate among IT teams to develop innovative solutions that positively impact profitability, strategic growth, operational effectiveness and human capital through consistent and efficient technology solutions.
  • Be responsible for strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT core infrastructure components
  • Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources and ensure costs are tracked and controlled.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate security, regulatory and legal requirements, and specific contractual commitments relating to Information Security
  • Management of Information Security strategy and framework, implementation of policies, procedures and programs and ongoing communication with business leaders on needs and expectations

Qualifications:                      

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required or a significant level of experience in Information Security.
  • Certified Information Security Management (CISM) or Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) certification or equivalent accreditation. (Preferred)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (Preferred)
  • 10 + years practical IT infrastructure experience
  • Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 27001:2013, the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) frameworks
  • Knowledge and or certification in Microsoft and Cisco technologies
  • Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to manage cross-departmental teams.
  • Excellent problem solving skills; resourceful and creative with solutions.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding and experienced with Information Security Compliance laws and regulations
  • Ability to communicate with all roles, levels, and positions.
  • Ability to produce clear and effective written documentation.
  • Ability to work with and lead inter-departmental teams to communicate and enforce policies (Required).
  • Ability to research and report on compliance laws and industry standards, trends and technologies, and ability to synthesize them into workable corporate policies.
  • Business acumen with Insurance or Financial services background
  • Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to manage cross-departmental teams.
