Foundation Administrator

Location: Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

Type: Part Time

Min. Experience: Mid Level

The Foundation Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of The Cowan Foundation and will work closely with the Executive Director and other key stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis of organizations and/or programs being considered for grants
  • Responsible for data management - maintaining databases, financial records and providing reports as required
  • Grant administration - working with the Executive Director to assess grant applications and act as liaison between The Cowan Foundation and grant applicants
  • Provide support to events for company partnership programs.
  • Coordinate mailings and coordinate and support the Board and the Advisory Committee meetings
  • Responsible for updating the social media and website information as well as coordinate periodic publications like the annual report, press releases etc. 

Qualifications:          

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Accounting and/or demonstrated financial analysis capabilities
  • Strong data management and project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office capabilities
  • Self-directed with strong attention to detail
  • Non-profit organization experience or understanding
  • Experience with social media
